Zhuoyu (Joy) Li received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Engineering at South China University of Technology and a Master of Research degree in Biomedical Research on the Data Science stream from Imperial College London working on natural language processing in biomedical research and cardiac MRI processing using deep learning approaches. Her research interests focus on the combination of artificial intelligence with biomedicine and neuroscience.

Joy joined Professor Zoe Kourtzi's lab in September 2023 as a Research Assistant. She works on developing machine learning and image processing methods for the early detection of neurodegenerative disorders.

In her free time, Joy enjoys badminton, yoga, photography, and reading.
