Ye is working as a PhD candidate in the lab since 2022 and is interested in utilizing psychophysics, multi-modal ultra-high-field neuroimaging, neuropsychology, brain stimulation, and modelling methods, to systematically investigate the mesoscale circuits/mechanisms underlying human adaptive behaviour and learning, which in turn inspire artificial neural models as well as translations in clinical and industrial settings.
Ye has a BSc (Psychology) and an Honours degree (entrepreneurship & innovation) from Zhejiang University (2021, Hangzhou, China) exploring basic vision and its neuroplasticity, human factor, and cognitive training. Ye travelled to Cambridge to pursue an MPhil (2021-2022) on neural networks of object recognition under prior predictions with Prof Alex Clarke, and then a PhD supervised by Prof Zoe Kourtzi and advised by Prof Yashar Ahmadian.
Outside the lab Ye enjoys athletic training, playing BUCS, and competing with Oxford.
