Adaptive Brain Lab

Hualong joined the Adaptive Brain Lab in September 2023 as a research assistant to work on the intersection of artificial intelligence and computational neuroscience, leveraging AI to understand brain mechanisms, and drawing insight from the brain to inspire AI improvements.

Hualong gained a BEng in biomedical engineering and BA in applied mathematics at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, focusing on bioelectronics for wearable devices, AI for healthcare and medical signal processing. In 2022, Hualong moved to the UK to pursue an MRes in Bioengineering at Imperial College London working on two-photon calcium imaging and EEG recordings in the mouse brain.

Outside the lab Hualong is a basketball player, a rock music singer, and enjoys working out.
