Adaptive Brain Lab

A post-doctoral Research Associate or Assistant position in Cognitive Computational Neuroimaging is available to work with Prof Zoe Kourtzi at the Adaptive Brain Lab, Univ of Cambridge, UK (http://www.abg.psychol.cam.ac.uk).

The position will focus on advanced ultra high-field neuroimaging (e.g. 7T brain imaging) in combination with computational modelling (Bayesian modelling, reinforcement learning, machine learning), interventional methods (neuropharmacology, TMS, TDCs) and cognitive genetics. Research in the lab aims to understand how humans of all ages (healthy and patients with neurocognitive disorders) translate sensory experience into complex decisions and adaptive behaviours by taking into account previous experience and learning. The successful applicant will receive multi-disciplinary research training at the interface between cognitive neuroimaging, computational modelling, and clinical translation.

Applicants should have a PhD, Masters and/or First Degree, or equivalent experience, together with a strong academic track record, in a relevant area (e.g., Neuroscience, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Genetics, Medicine). Programming skills are highly desirable and experience with brain imaging preferable.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Prof Zoe Kourtzi (zk240@cam.ac.uk)
